Alex Rodriguez
Owner and Operations Manager
Alex grew up in Wisconsin, wrenching on trucks and tractors alongside his dad and sailing on the waters of Lake Michigan. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, he pursued a career as a chemist but was quickly seduced by the call of the sea.

Once he decided to pursue this passion full-time, he earned his 50 ton captain’s license and an ASA instructor certification. He’s put it to good use, too, having worked on charter boats, teaching American Sailing Association courses, and completing yacht deliveries throughout the Pacific Northwest, and destinations including Panama, Bermuda, and the Caribbean. He has sailed in weather fair and foul alike along every mile of the West Coast of the United States and Mexico, crossed the Gulf Stream dozens of times, and successfully completed complicated repairs while underway in gale force winds.

While Alex is a sailor at heart, he has come to love every boat he steps aboard, no matter the size or type.

He established North Sound Yacht Management, to achieve a simple goal: to deliver the highest level of care and management for your vessel so you can spend your time enjoying the water—worry free.
